With its inaugural race in August 2006, the Run 4 Downtown celbrates its 5th anniversary August 21, 2010. 
Founded by and chaired by Dave and Anna Madden, the R4DT is a 4 mile run/walk beginning and finishing in Historic Downtown Middletown, and is held on the third Saturday of August each year.  Proceeds from the event support community revitalization projects.  In the summer months you can see bright blue banners hung throughout Downtown Middletown; they were purchased with the proceeds from the 2008 event.  A major announcement concerning a project funded with the proceeds from the 2009 race is forthcoming.  Visit the R4DT website for more details.
